Each piece in The Excavation Series is handcrafted by Sonya Barbee of YardGirl Creations from scraps of original artwork, embedded in resin alongside chunky metallic glass fragments and iridescent beads. Unlike The Capsule Series, these are open resin — textured, dimensional, and tactile. Each one feels as interesting as it looks.
The result is wearable art that sits somewhere between jewelry and sculpture — bold, colorful, and utterly one of a kind.
This piece has silver chunks and a single purple bead encased in a metal casing surrounded by amethyst glitter on a teal background.
Worn on a 24" stainless steel snake chain, it makes a statement whether worn alone or layered.
